Meet Zak & Kahli

Founders, musicians and educators behind Darley Music.

Co-Founder & Music Educator

Zak Dunmore

Guitar · Piano · Drums

Zak has been playing guitar for more than 23 years, with 18 years’ experience playing piano and drums. He completed a Bachelor of Entertainment (Popular Music & Performance) at JMC Academy.

Throughout his career, Zak has performed in a variety of original and cover bands, including residencies at multiple venues.

His passion for music education and children’s entertainment also saw him take to the stage as Zak the Pirate with Jigglebops Kids Entertainment, combining live music, performance and entertainment for young audiences.

When he’s not teaching, Zak enjoys writing and producing music.

Co-Founder & Music Educator

Kahli Dunmore

Singing · Guitar · Drums

Kahli has been singing and playing guitar for more than 25 years and added drums to her musical repertoire while studying at university. She completed an Associate Degree in Entertainment (Popular Music & Performance) at JMC Academy.

Kahli has extensive live performance experience, having worked in various cover bands with residencies at multiple venues.

She also created Jigglebops Kids Entertainment, writing the original songs and script for a 45-minute children’s show and performing as Bubbles the Mermaid.

Her combination of music, performance and children’s entertainment has played an important role in shaping Darley Music’s approach to engaging young musicians.

Zak & Kahli Dunmore

Music educators, performers and parents.

Zak and Kahli Dunmore started instrumental lesson programs in primary schools after completing Music Degrees specialising in Education and Children’s Entertainment.

After teaching privately for five years, they developed a specialised program designed around the needs of primary school children.

Today, Darley Music delivers instrumental programs across five primary schools in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs, alongside individual lessons at the studio.
